Hi Everyone
Does a SQL Enterprise instance need to be licensed as SQL Enterprise when none of the features Enterprise provides are used?
A legacy instance was built on a previous SQL template which utilises the enterprise edition though doesn’t actually utilise any of the features found outside the usual standard edition
In such a case, can the usual SQL standard licensing be applied to the instance? or would a new instance need to be built on the standard edition platform?
