UNCOVERING THE COMPLEXITY OF THE MICROSOFT SPLA PROGRAM
We started offering SPLA to customers in January, and have now been reporting usage for 3 months. However, I’m concerned that our distributor hasn’t explained this process to us fully or correctly.
Are we required to generate Microsoft agreements for each customer through some kind of Microsoft Portal, and have all our SPLA customers sign these? Or do we just supply them with a copy of the “SPLA End User License Terms” document that Microsoft have supplied us?
Your site has really helped us over the last few months to get a good understanding of this service. I just want to make sure we aren’t missing something important before we get in too deep! We are bundling SPLA in with our services, so customers don’t have to worry about licensing their servers as long as they are a customer of ours. So far it’s really helped when closing some of the larger server installation deals
