If you develop your own software, what (4) factors must be included to qualify for your Self-Hosted hosted solution?
All software indirectly accessed would need to qualify, must have SA, an allowed to use it on the same servers you are delivering your SaaS solution since it does NOT conflict use rights.
The Enterprise Agreement is the only program that allows Self-Hosted options.
False - Any VL program that includes or has the option to purchase Software Assurance is eligible.
John owns an application he leases from a third-party. Through this arrangement, he is allowed to make his own plugins and additional modifications that he developed. Does this qualify for Self/Hosted?
No. The application must be his IP. Plugins do not count.
Timmy is an ISV and offers his solution to external organizations from his shared platform. He believes he can get better pricing on Windows through SPLA and applications under his EA. Can he do this?
The end customer would pay Timmy for the solution including the licensing costs to deploy (SPLA/EA)
The hosting exception allows an ISV to subscribe to Azure under their own agreement to support their hosted solution.
