UNCOVERING THE COMPLEXITY OF THE MICROSOFT SPLA PROGRAM

Hello, Over the past several days I have been learning as much as I can about the microsoft CSP program, and your website has been tremendously helpful in my journey!. Thank you for that! I was hoping to ask a few questions that I still don’t quite understand: (1) Does the end consumer of an Office 365 account, or Azure know that there is an CSP Indirect Provider (for instance Ingram Micro)? Or do they generally think that their IT service provider (the CSP Indirect Reseller) has set up the license through microsoft? (2) If an IT services provider (the Indirect Reseller) decides to switch CSP Indirect Distributors (for instance from AppRiver to Ingram Micro), is that possible to do without losing all of their clients data/ causing major disruption? (3) If it is possible/easy to switch CSP Indirect Distributors, why would the IT services providers (the Indirect Resellers) all not switch each year to the lowest cost distributor?
