UNCOVERING THE COMPLEXITY OF THE MICROSOFT SPLA PROGRAM
Hello,
We are a small IaaS business, where we host customer Vms on our vmware hosts, shared between them. Each customer manage its own VM. All of our hosts are licensed with Windows Data Center related to the number of cores on each host.
We do not have access to the VM level, it means that the customer is responsible for manage the VM OS and applications. In our contract with the customer we say that he has to inform properly what MS product he uses so we can report, but pretty much that is it.
My question is: am I, by the SPLA agreement, have to have access to the VM level (manage the OS) of our customers? Thats the only way to know for sure which products they use inside the VM.
Thanks
